Presentation design
Slides can make or brake a presentation. Well-designed slides help you to explain your ideas and create more impact. Unfortunately in many instances the opposite happens. Creating slides that work is not only about the functionalities of PowerPoint, but also about sharpening your ideas and translating them into visuals.
Content
During this training you follow all the steps of the process of designing a presentation in PowerPoint. The first four hour session will be spend working on paper on slide design. You translate your storyline into slides and for each slide you think up a way to visualize the core idea. We also discuss how to find photo’s that express the feeling you would like to plant in the minds of your audience. You also will learn how to avoid using bullet points and translate them into more meaningful representations of ideas and concepts.
The second four hour session is about the execution of your design in PowerPoint. We discuss colours, fonts and visual effects. You also practice with using PowerPoint while translating the design you made in the first session into slides. We aim at finishing a slide deck at the end of the training. Besides group instructions, you will receive a lot of personal feedback of the trainer.
