1. Strategy and Narrative

Are you a strategic thinker with a natural instinct for storytelling? Can you help others build a narrative that is both authentic and bulletproof? Then the role of strategy and narrative coach is for you. You will play a crucial role in our grant interview programmes. In this role, you help scientists approach the interview setting strategically, define the core of their proposal, and identify their unique selling points. You coach them through the shift from merely explaining to convincingly persuading. A background in science journalism and experience as a coach and/or trainer are absolute advantages for this position.

2. Illustration and Design

Do you possess an exceptional talent for layout and illustration? Are you unafraid to keep digging and asking questions until the absolute core is uncovered? Even when it concerns complex astrophysics, microbiology, or legal studies? Then our team is your dream destination. Design and visualisation play a pivotal role in our programmes. In this position, you will design infographics and PowerPoint slides, and format research proposals. A scientific background is not required; you will work closely with colleagues who do have this background. We find a solid foundation in design and creative talent far more important.

3. Editing (Grant Editor)

Do you have a sharp eye for language? Do you know exactly how to translate a strategy into a powerful text structure, sentence flow, and word choice? And do you have experience guiding and developing research proposals? Then you fit our team as a grant editor. In this position, you work alongside scientists towards the final submission of their proposal. It is your job to manage the schedule, guard deadlines, coach candidates through the writing process, and perfect the texts both linguistically and conceptually.

4. Interview Coaching

Can you prepare people for a top-tier performance under intense psychological pressure? Then you will play a central role in our programmes as an interview coach. You help scientists understand what happens to them under high stakes and provide concrete tools to hold their ground. You help them improve their vocal delivery, body language, and interaction, and guide them in answering questions convincingly. It is of vital importance that you respond to the specific situation: you look beyond generalities and work towards the best possible performance within this unique context.
